How to test
Use the app like you normally would. When we ship bigger releases, we may ask you to try out specific features. If something looks broken or isn't working right, email support@trailsoffroad.com.
Before you head offroad
Beta builds can break. If you're taking the beta on a trip, bring a backup mapping plan or reinstall the production app from the App Store or Google Play first. You can always switch back to the beta when you're home.
Switching back to the production app
If you no longer want to beta test, here is how to go back to the store version of the app:
iPhone and iPad (TestFlight)
- Touch and hold the Trails Offroad icon on your home screen, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
- Open the App Store, search for Trails Offroad, and install it.
Leave TestFlight on your device. Your invite stays active, so you can reinstall the beta anytime.
Android (Google Play Open Testing)
- Open the Google Play Store and go to the Trails Offroad listing.
- Scroll down to the testing section and tap Leave the program.
- Give Google a few hours to process it, then uninstall the app and reinstall it from the Play Store.
The uninstall step is required. The beta version number is higher than production, so Play won't move you back on its own.
Either platform: you'll need to log back in, and any offline maps you downloaded will have to be downloaded again.
